D&AD
Train the trainers

From inspiration in the room to behaviour change at work

Snapshot

Make D&AD Masterclass participants do more than feel inspired, help them apply new skills the very next day and keep doing so.

Challenge

Behavioural Facilitation Lead: Trained award-winning tutors, redesigned course flow, and built a bespoke BehaviourKit Facilitation toolkit.

My role

12 masterclass tutors up-skilled, 92 % of learners set post-class action plans

Impact

The problem

Even the best trainers can miss the transfer gap:

  1. Inspiration doesn't equal application - energy fades once people return to busy jobs.

  2. Facilitation blind spots - experts know what to teach, but not always how to shape learner behaviour.

D&AD asked: How do we make learning live beyond the room?

Approach
Train → Design → Equip → Coach
  1. Train the trainers

Masterclass on learning psychology, behaviour facilitation, and practical engagement tactics.

  2. Redesign course strategy

A all hands session with the D&AD learning team. Covering Intention-planning canvases to lock in action steps. And behaviour gap maps to spot friction that blocks application.

  3. Build a bespoke BehaviourKit, The Facilitation Kit

Insight cards, session-planning tools, and creativity-plus-structure techniques.

Result
  • 92% of participants leave with a written 30-day action plan.

  • Follow-up at 30 days shows a 3x increase in learners applying class tools to live client work.
